May 9: Preparing for the APMP 40 Under 40 Program

A panel discussion on the APMP 40 Under 40 program. This program recognizes up-and-coming professionals in proposals, capture, and other aspects of business development around the world. Nominations usually are solicited in January, and honorees are announced around the time of the annual Bid and Proposal Conference in the spring. This workshop discusses the APMP 40 Under 40 program, nomination/application procedures, and tips for preparing a compelling, competitive case.

Mitch Boretz, APMP Fellow

Mitch has been a reviewer for the 40 Under 40 program since its inception and has nominated several successful candidates. He served for many years on the board of what is now APMP’s Western Chapter. He retired in 2021 after 25 years directing proposal operations for the Bourns College of Engineering at UC Riverside. His office produced more than 500 proposals per year to generate about US$45M annually, mostly in federal grants ranging in value from 5 to 8 figures. The panelists include:
